SALEM, Ore. – As (RV) Corban University (11-6 CCC, 20-7) claimed their 7^th straight win on Saturday night, No. 10 Oregon Tech (13-3 CCC 22-6) fell short of hitting seven in a row themselves as they fell behind in the first half and were unable to come back, falling 90-75.

"Corban is a very good basketball team," said Oregon Tech Head Coach Justin Parnell. "I was extremely impressed with how much better they are from when we played them just a month ago. Regardless, it was a good road split for us and we will go home and find a way to get better."
 
The Warriors fought their way to the lead quickly in the first half, with an 11-0 run following a 9-3 run to push them to a 14-point advantage in the first six minutes of the game. A 9-0 run was another turn of the screw for the Owls as the first half closed 50-38.


 
Corban opened the second half with an 11-2 run, and though OIT pulled off a 9-2 run, CRB was still able to outscore them 40-37.
 
Junior Mitchell Fink led Tech through the game, adding 28 points to take game high honors while recording six assists. Fink also shot 5-for-10 on the night from long range. Junior Seth Erickson followed up with 12 points, and sophomore Scotty Burge tallied nine and grabbed five rebounds.

AJ Hodges scored 18 for Corban, one of five players to hit double digits. Jaxon Hughes and Beau Tilleman each scored 12, with Tilleman also grabbing eight rebounds for the team. Tyler Wadleigh and Dalton Patchen each added 10.
 
Scoring was a struggle for the Owls, as they shot 39.3% on the night to a 61.5% average for the Warriors.
 
CU was able to take a major 43-20 advantage from their bench and led in the paint 38-22.
 
OIT forced 15 turnovers, while committing only 13 of their own and took a 23-19 edge in points off turnovers. 
 
The Hustlin' Owls will return to Klamath Falls next weekend to play Eastern Oregon University on Friday for Blackout for Hunger night and then will face No. 3 College of Idaho on Saturday, with both games taking place at 7:30 pm at Danny Miles Court.
