TRINIDAD, Calif. – The Oregon Tech men and women each won team titles at the Humboldt Invite today at Patrick's Point State Park.

"I am very happy with our effort today," said Head Coach Jack Kegg. "We ran well and had 5 in the top 10 of each race, but now we have to go to work for a couple weeks and prepare for the championship season."

For the NAIA ranked No.4 Oregon Tech women, it was their first win ever at the 6K Invite as they beat the NCAA DII ranked No. 25 Humboldt Jacks.

Cindy Reed led the women finishing in 2nd (21:53), Susie Garza was 3rd (22:08), Danielle De Castro 6th (22:42), Andie Kolasinski 8th (22:47), and Annika Andersen 13th (23:08)

The OIT men also won for the first time ever in the 8K event which is very impressive for a team still missing their top two runners. The Hooter were led by Paul Wyatt 3rd (26:15), Nicholas McMillen 5th (26:23), Chris Ramirez 6th (26:35), Ricky Garcia 9th (27:02) and Victor Rios 10th (27:03)

Up next: Tech XC will travel to Salem, Oregon for the Willamette University Invite Saturday, September 29.
