KIRKLAND, Wash. – Oregon Tech started slow Saturday night and could never fully recover, dropping a hard fought match 16-25, 25-27, 25-22, 24-26 at Kristi Brodin Pavilion. The Owls fall to 4-5 in conference play and 9-7 overall, with the Eagles improving to 8-9 on the season and 4-4 in CCC action.
"It was a well fought match tonight," said Head Coach
Andrew Clifton. "Although we lost, we needed to bounce back from last night's performance and we did that. I am very proud of the way our freshman played tonight in a hostile gym.
Jaime Toedtemeier and
Chase Bohman connected well tonight and had some key plays."
Bohman had a game high 26 kills to lead the Owls with
Nicole Reyes adding 14 kills in the loss.
Toedtemeier had a game high 46 set assists for the Owls while also adding 6 kills.
For the game Northwest had a .308 kill percentage and held OIT to .197.
The big difference was the 12-1 advantage the Eagles had in blocks.
The Owls will look to rebound next weekend with home games Friday and Saturday against Corban University and Northwest Christian respectively.
