CALDWELL, Idaho – Oregon Tech men and women both placed second today in the final round of the College of Idaho Invitational at TimberStone Golf Course. Tech's Alejandro Armijo fired the lowest round of the men's tournament (-7) 65 that also tied Montana Frame for lowest round in school history to lead the Owls' effort on the day.

"I am very pleased with how both teams are playing," said Head Coach Jeff Corkill. "Our men and women are both very good teams. It's just UBC is very, very good! The women's score today is the second best ever shot in a CCC tournament and the UBC score is a new record. It will be interesting to see if the National Raters are taking notice of Oregon Tech."
 
The Lady Owls started the day with a two-stroke lead ahead of the NAIA No. 4 ranked British Columbia, 305 to 307. Both teams improved on final round but UBC improved by 11 strokes (296) while the Owls improved by just two strokes (303) as the Thunderbirds won the event by five strokes, 603 to OIT's 608.  
 
Tech's Ashley Zhu and Payton Canon finished tied for third to lead the Owls with a two-day total of 151, four strokes behind the Medalist Esther Lee of UBC.
 
Tech's Kylie Collom had a nice final round 76 (155) as she finished 8th while Stephanie Koza and Aerin Song finished tied for 10th (158) and Courtney Tabion (162) was tied for thirteenth to round the Tech contingent in the field of 37.
 
On the men's side, Armijo's 65 moved him up to 2nd place in the tournament as he finished six under par (210) just two-strokes behind the Medalist Andrew Harrison who shot a final round 72 and three round total of 208 to lead No. 12 UBC to the Tournament Championship by 11-strokes over Oregon Tech 850 to 861.
 
Tech's Mayson Tibbs shot a final round 70 as he finished 4th (212), while Brandon Erickson was 8th (217), Zack Malina 12th (221), Cameron Barnhardt tied for 13th (222), and Tyler Franke 19th (224) in a field of 49 players.
