Lady Owls Claw Past Eagles in Overtime for First Win

TAHOE VISTA, Calif. – After a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to open the season last week at Linfield College, the Lady Owls of Oregon Tech bounced back and picked up their first win of the year.  Cassidy Gosvener scored the "Golden Goal" in overtime as the Owls downed Sierra Nevada College 2-1 to improve to 1-1 on the season Saturday afternoon.

Associate Head Coach Tom Eichelkraut on today's result. "Really proud of the way we regained our composure and settled the game back down, a really outstanding overtime win. Came in, settled down, and took care of our chance early."

Tech scored its first goal when Gosvener sent a corner kick into the box and Hailey Satyna headed the ball into the back of the net in the 25th minute giving the Hooter a 1-0 lead.

Savannah Watson scored the equalizer for the Eagles in the 51st minute.

On the game winner in overtime, Gosvener took a through ball from Salyna Blue and chipped it in for the win in the 6th minute of overtime.
