TAHOE VISTA, Calif. – After a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to open the season last week at Linfield College, the Lady Owls of Oregon Tech bounced back and picked up their first win of the year.
Cassidy Gosvener scored the "Golden Goal" in overtime as the Owls downed Sierra Nevada College 2-1 to improve to 1-1 on the season Saturday afternoon.

Tom Eichelkraut on today's result. "Really proud of the way we regained our composure and settled the game back down, a really outstanding overtime win. Came in, settled down, and took care of our chance early."
Tech scored its first goal when Gosvener sent a corner kick into the box and
Hailey Satyna headed the ball into the back of the net in the 25
th minute giving the Hooter a 1-0 lead.
Savannah Watson scored the equalizer for the Eagles in the 51
st minute.
On the game winner in overtime, Gosvener took a through ball from
Salyna Blue and chipped it in for the win in the 6
th minute of overtime.
Tech dominated possession and held a 19-8 edge in shots and a 13-5 advantage in shots on goal.
Up Next: The Owls will travel to Rocklin, California with a match against William Jessup University (2-1) on Monday at 11:00 am. The Hooter will then return for their home opener on Friday, September 7 at 4:00 pm against University of California, Merced
