ASHLAND, Ore. -  
The No.20-ranked Oregon Tech softball will be the three seed heading into this weekend's Cascade Conference Tournament presented by U.S. Bank. The tournament is slated for May 6-8 and will be hosted by Southern Oregon University.
 
The Lady Owls first game will be Friday, May 4th at 11:30 a.m. against 6th seeded Carroll College. If the Owls win they would turnaround and play No.2-seeded Corban University at 4:30 p.m. Friday. If the Owls lose the opening game Friday, they would play the loser of Game 1 between No.4-seeded Eastern Oregon and No.5-seeded British Columbia on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. in an elimination game.
 
By winning the CCC regular season, the SOU Raiders have earned the CCC's first automatic berth to the NAIA National Tournament and the right to host this weekend CCC tournament. The conferences second automatic berth goes to the winner of the CCC Tournament. If SOU wins the CCC Tournament, then whichever team finishes as the runner-up in the tournament will receive the conferences second automatic bid to nationals.

FRIDAY, MAY 4
Game 1 @ 9 a.m. – #4 Eastern Oregon (23-20) vs. #5 British Columbia (17-21)
Game 2 @ 11:30 a.m. – #3 Oregon Tech (35-11) vs. #6 Carroll (28-20)
Game 3 @ 2 p.m. – #1 Southern Oregon (41-12) vs. Winner of Game 1
Game 4 @ 4:30 p.m. – #2 Corban (34-11) vs. Winner of Game 2

SATURDAY, MAY 5
Game 5 @ 9 a.m. – Loser of Game 2 vs. Loser of Game 3 (loser eliminated)
Game 6 @ 11:30 a.m. – Loser of Game 1 vs. Loser of Game 4 (loser eliminated)
Game 7 @ 2 p.m. – Winner of Game 3 vs. Winner of Game 4
Game 8 @ 4:30 p.m. – Winner of Game 5 vs. Winner of Game 6 (loser eliminated)

SUNDAY, MAY 6
Game 9 @ 11 a.m. – Loser of Game 7 vs. Winner of Game 8 (loser eliminated)
Game 10 @ 1:30 p.m. – Winner of Game 7 vs. Winner of Game 9 (championship)
Game 11 – 30 minutes after completion of Game 10 (if necessary)
 
The Lady Owls just concluded the regular season with a four-game sweep of Northwest University last weekend as they finish CCC play with a record of 21-6 and 35-11 overall. The 21-6 mark tied OIT with Corban but the Warriors had the tie breaker so the Owls drop to third. SOU won the CCC with a record of 22-5 just one game ahead of OIT and CRB.
 
OIT heads into the post-season play sporting the best team ERA in the CCC at 1.89 followed by Corban (2.03) and SOU (2.38). For the first time in school history the Owls had three pitchers end the regular season with double-digit wins, Kelly Scott at 12-6 with a 1.90 ERA, Sarah Abramson at 11-4 with a 1.72 ERA and Loryn Williams at 11-1 with a 1.85 ERA. Those three combined for 251 strikeouts to just 79 walks.
 
On the offensive side OIT was second in the CCC with .325 batting average with SOU in first at .338. 2016 CCC Player of the Year Ali Graham, three time NAIA All American Tara Moates and the CCC home run leader Kiahna Brown (pictured) lead OIT. Graham is third in the CCC in hitting with a .389 average. Moates is third in the CCC in conference only games at .429 while Brown leads the CCC in home runs (12) and is second in total bases (110).
