KIRKLAND, Wash. – After an easy 10-1 game one win it took OIT 15-innings to extend their win streak to 6-games as they got past a pesky Northwest University team 7-3 in game two Friday at Everest Park. No.20 Oregon Tech improves to 33-11 on the year and 20-6 in the CCC.
OIT still remains one game back of both Southern Oregon and Corban for first place in the CCC standings heading into tomorrow's final game at Northwest, as both SOU and CRB swept their doubleheaders at Eastern Oregon and Carroll College respectively on Friday.
Game 1 Oregon Tech 10 Northwest 1 (5-innings)
Loryn Williams stayed hot in the circle for the Owls picking up the win to improve to 10-1 on the year as she gave up only five-hits and one run.
Kiahna Brown delivered her league leading 11
th and 12
th home runs of the season and had 4-RBI to lead the OIT offense.

Tara Moates, and
Ali Graham all had two-hits in the game 1 win.
OIT took the early lead with 2-runs in the top of the second highlighted by a Doe 2-RBI single.
Tech added six-runs in the third on 7-hits including Browns first HR of the day.
After a Graham, double to lead off the fourth, Brown delivered again, another two-run shot down the left field line to give the Hooter a 10-0 lead.
NU added a run in the fourth on three-hits as Tech held on for the 10-1 mercy rule shortened 5-inning game.
Five different players had one-hit each for the Eagles in the loss.
Game 2 Oregon Tech 7 Northwest 3 (15-Innings)
Tech's
Sarah Abramson pitched all 15-innings and improved to 11-4 on the year as OIT scored four-runs in the top of the 15
th to survive past Northwest 7-3.
OIT took the early lead with one-run in the first on a Graham RBI single.
After the Eagles took their first lead of the day with two-runs in the bottom of the second, OIT came storming back with two-runs in the top of the third to take the lead back at 3-2 on a
Shayna Ige 2-RBI single.
The game stayed that way until NU scored one-run in the bottom of the 7
th to force the free softball.
Each team struggled throughout the game to score with runners in scoring position; OIT left 15-runners on base while the Eagles left 11.
The Hooter final broke the streak of 11-scoreless innings plating four-runs in the top of the 15
th
Sierra Barkis led off the inning with a single, then moved up to second base on an Ige single. Both runners moved up a base on a perfectly executed sacrifice bunt by
Sahalie Doe. Freshman
Olivia Lethlean then delivered a huge 2-run double scoring both Ige and Barkis to put the Owls up 5-3. Graham then added two big insurance runs with a 2-run homer to give the Owls a 7-3 lead.
Abramson then closed the door as she retired the Eagles in order in the bottom of the 15
th to give the Owls the win.
Ige led OIT with 3-hits, while Lethlean, Moates, Graham and McKenna Armentrout all added two-hits in the win.
