CALDWELL, Idaho – Oregon Tech (13-5, 4-1 CCC) swept a Cascade Conference doubleheader Saturday from College of Idaho (11-6, 2-3 CCC) 4-2 in game 1, and 9-4 in game 2 at Symms Field.

OIT scored 2-runs in the first and 2-runs in 6
th then haled on for the 4-2 win as the Yotes scored their 2-runs in the bottom of the 7
th but left the bases loaded.
The Owls took the early lead scoring twice in the top of the first highlighted by a
Tara Moates RBI double.
The Owls scored two very important insurance runs in the top of the 6
th on a
Dre Sotelo 2-RBI single.
College of Idaho got back-to-back homers in the bottom of the 7
th but Tech's
Loryn Williams came in relief of starter
Kelly Scott to get the final two outs as COI left the bases loaded.
Scott improved to 8-2 on the year with the win as Williams picked up her first save of the year.
Oregon Tech 9 College of Idaho 4 Game 2
Oregon Tech scored 9-runs on 10-hits helped by 5-college of Idaho errors on the way to the 9-4 win.
The Owls scored 3-runs in the first highlighted by a
Ali Graham 2-RBI double.
Each team added 1-run in the 3
rd as the Owls led 4-1.
OIT added two more runs in the 4
th as Graham was at it again, another 2-run double to push the Tech lead to 6-1.
Kiahna Brown had an RBI single in the 5
th scoring
Sahalie Doe to extend the Hooter lead to 7-1.
Dre Sotelo belted her 3
rd home run of the year in the 6
th that also scored Graham pushing the OIT lead to 9-1.
COI avoided the mercy-rule scoring 3-runs in the 6
th as OIT won 9-4.
Sotelo and Graham led the Owls with 2-hits each in the win.
Tech's
Sarah Abramson picked up the win in the circle to improve to 4-2 on the year.
The two teams will conclude the season series Sunday in a doubleheader at Symms Field at 10:00 AM
