Owls Split with Warriors

ROCKLIN, Calif. – Oregon Tech (6-2) and William Jessup (10-5) split a double header Saturday afternoon with OIT winning game one, 6-2 and WJU taking the night cap 7-4 at Matt Redding Field.
 
Game 1, Oregon Tech 6 William Jessup 2
 
Oregon Tech hit three home runs and Sarah Abramson picked up the win in the circle going five innings with four strikeouts.
 
Tech took the early lead on an RBI single by Tara Moates.
 
Ali Graham broke a 1-1 tie in the 3rd inning with a 2-run homer to left.
 
The Owls added a run in the 5th on another Moates RBI single.
 
OIT then added a run in the 6th on a Andrea Sotelo solo home run with Kiahna Brown capping off the OIT scoring with a solo homer of her own in the 7th to seal the win 6-2.
 
Moates led the Owls offense with 3-hits.
 
Game 2, William Jessup 7 Oregon Tech 4  
 
William Jessup broke up a 4-4 tie with 3-runs in the 6th on the way to the 7-4 win.
 
An Ali Graham RBI single in the 3rd scored Moates to make it a 3-2 game.
 
Moates then hit an RBI single in the 4th to tie the game at 3-3.
 
Tech took its only lead in the 6th on a Rachael Delamare RBI double that scored Brown giving Tech the 4-3 lead.
 
The Warriors then took control in the bottom of the inning scoring 4-runs on only 3-hits.
 
These two team will meet again next Friday at noon in Rocklin for another double header.
