SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – No. 6 seed College of Idaho took No. 3 seeded Oregon Tech to a 0-0 draw through two-overtimes. The Yotes then upset the Owls 7-6 in a PK shootout in a Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Tournament Quarterfinal match.
"I am so incredibly proud of our team," said Head Coach
Brandon Porter. "They left everything out on the field and played very good soccer. College of Idaho showed us some different looks and our ladies adapted and adjusted well. Losing is part of competition and I admire our team for their ability to lose a tough game with grace. Our five seniors (Bailey, Cassidy, Ellie, Chelsea, and Emily) left a lasting mark on this program and will be missed dearly. GO OWLS!!!"
During the 110-minute match that ended in a 0-0 tie, Oregon Tech held a big 25-15 advantage in shots and a 6-3 edge in shots on goal but could not find the back of the net.
Kylie Cowell led the Owls with five shots while

Tech Keeper Jenna Steihr was credited with three saves in the game while College of Idaho Keeper Shae Waters had six saves during the match, plus one big save in the shootout, to secure the 7-6 PK win.
