SALEM, Ore.- Oregon Tech out-scored Corban 30-19 in the second on the way to 58-49 Cascade Conference win at the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center Friday night. The Lady Owls improve to 6-4 in CCC play and 13-7 on the year with the Warriors falling to 5-5 in CCC play and 9-8 overall.
Corban took a 17-16 lead after the first quarter on 58% shooting from the floor.
The Tech defense then kicked-in only allowing 13-points, 7-points, and 12-points over the final three periods.
OIT out-scored the Warriors 11-7 in the 3rd quarter and 19-12 in the final stanza to win 58-49.
Oregon Tech's balanced offensive attack was spearheaded by
Bailey Nelson, who led the team with 12 points on four rebounds.
Mikaela Shumaker totaled 11 points on the evening, and
Abby Kreiser notched an additional 10 points in the victory. In the paint,
Nohea Waiwaiole racked-up a team-best 11 boards for the Owls
The Owls held a 42-38 advantage in rebounding for the game.
OIT will wrap-up the road trip in Eugene, Oregon on Saturday against Northwest Christian University at 5:30 pm before returning home for the 9th Annual Pink Out game on Saturday, January 20th at Danny Miles Court.
