EUGENE, Ore.- Northwest Christian scored three first half goals on their way to a 3-0 Cascade Conference win over visiting Oregon Tech Saturday on Mike Kelly Field.
Oregon Tech falls to 2-4 in CCC play and 3-6 overall with the loss.
The Beacons wasted little time in getting on the scoreboard as Jesse Figueroa scored just 1 minute and 44 seconds into the match.
Sanad Elghanai gave NCU a 2-0 lead in the 15
th minute as he collected a loose ball and scored on a rocket from 25-yards out.
Just two minutes later, the Beacons put the game away scoring in the 17
th minute as Victor Irechukwu scored to make it 3-0 NCU.
Tech had many opportunities in the game as they had a 13-10 edge in shots but could not break through on the scoreboard.
The Owls will return home next weekend for games against Warner Pacific on Friday and Eastern Oregon. On Saturday both games are scheduled for 2:00 PM starts at the OIT Soccer pitch.
