KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.- Alaina Gentili had 17 Kills to lead No. 10 Corban past upset minded Oregon Tech in five sets 3-2, (26-28, 23-25, 25-23, 25-9, 15-10) Saturday night at Danny Miles Court.
The loss for the Owls ends their season at 10-15 overall and 8-12 in the CCC.
"We fought hard tonight but just came up short," said Head Coach
Andrew Clifton. "I'm proud of the time and effort the seniors put into the team this season. They have been a major part of moving this program in the right direction."
Tech honored its five seniors during tonight's game,
Waverly Green, Kristin De Paoli,
Faryn Case,
Whitney Webster and
Paige Bruce.
Tech came out on fire capturing the first two sets 28-26 and 25-23. But just didn't have enough in the tank to take down No. 10 Corban who won the final three sets 25-23, 25-9, and 15-10.
Chase Bohman once again led the Owl with a game high 24 kills with
Faryn Case putting down 12 kills and
Kristin DePaoli adding 11.
Waverly Green had a game high 51 assists to lock down the middle for the Owls with Bohman adding 19 digs to lead OIT.
Whitney Webster led Tech with 4 Blocks.
