Tech held leads of 13 points on two occasions but both times BU went on runs to tie the game. The Flames took their only lead of the game in overtime at 71-70 with 3:48 to play before the Owls managed to regain some momentum and eventually held on for the win.

Freshman Amanda Constant and junior Nohea Waiwaiole each had double-doubles for the Lady Owls. Constant had 18 points and 18 rebounds while Waiwaiole had a game high 19 points and 12 boards. Freshman Tayah Ranney also poured in 15 points including 3-9 from long range.

Head Coach Scott Meredith. "Very proud of how our team competed this weekend. First college action for over half the team. Great composure in a very close game. Will study film and learn. I think there will be tremendous growth in coming weeks."

Laura Tapia led four Bethesda players in double figures with 17 points.

Tech will host UC Merced in its home opener next Saturday, November 11 at 6:00 pm at Danny Miles Court.
