KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Sydney Molander and Danielle Schoen combined for 25 kills to lead William Jessup past Oregon Tech Tuesday night in a non-conference match-up at Danny Miles Court.
William Jessup improves to 16-9 on the year with the win while the Owls slip to 5-9 with the loss.
Tech jumped out to a great start taking the first set comfortably 25-18. But the Warriors hustled back to take aq very tight second set 25-23.
William Jessup carried the momentum into the third set as the cruised to a 25-19 win.
The fourth set saw OIT jump out to a 10 to 4 lead before the Warriors picked-up the momentum and tied the match at 18-18. The teams would tie again at 21 and 23 before WJU scored the final two points back to back to take the set and match.
Neither team hit the ball very well as OIT had a Kill percentage of .120 with the Warriors at .119.
Cheyanne Laber had 15 kills with
Whitney Webster adding 10 kills and
Chase Bohman chipping in 9 Kills for the match.
Tech will head back on the road this weekend playing at Walla Walla, Wash. on Thursday at 8:30 PM. The Owls will then play at No.14 Eastern Oregon on Friday in La Grande, Ore. before wrapping-up the three game road trip at No. 8 College of Idaho on Saturday in Caldwell, Id.
