Lady Owls Fight for Playoff Position, Men Fight for Playoffs in Regular Season Finales

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Both Oregon Tech soccer teams enter this final weekend of regular season action at home with playoffs and playoff position at stake.
The OIT women (8-6-0, 6-3 CCC) have won six of their last eight games and have clinched a playoff spot in next weekend's CCC Tournament in Eugene. However, the Lady Owls will look to improve on their position as they host Carroll College (7-6-2, 3-4-2 CCC) Friday at 2:00 pm and Providence (6-7, 5-4 CCC) on Saturday, senior day at 2:00 pm both on the OIT Soccer Pitch.
The Lady Owls are 0-4 lifetime against Carroll College with two 1-0 losses the last two years.
The OIT men are 3-1-1 in their last five games and enter this weekend currently in 7
th place with 16 points at 5-5-1 in conference play. There are three teams just one point behind the Owls in a three way tie for the last playoff position including both teams the Owls will play this weekend Carroll College and Providence who are both 5-6 in conference play.
First-up on Friday is Carroll, the Saints played their last five games at home but are coming off back-to-back losses against Northwest (1-0) and Evergreen (3-1).
Oregon Tech lost at Carroll last year 2-1, and tied them at 1-1 in the only other meeting with the Saints. Friday's game is scheduled for a 12:00 pm start.
Saturday will be senior day as Oregon Tech will honor five seniors as they welcome in the now University of Providence (Formally Great Falls) Picked to finish third in the CCC preseason poll, the Argos have struggled down the stretch with four losses in their last five outings. Saturday will also start at 12:00 pm on the Oregon Tech Soccer Pitch.
