Andrew Clifton is in his fourth season leading the Hustlin’ Owls Volleyball Program and has an overall record of 34-44 and a CCC record of 23-37.


In 2018 Andrew lead Tech Volleyball to a 12-15 overall record and a Cascade Conference record of 7-13. The Owls landed one NAIA All-American in 2018 and had several CCC Players of the Week awards as well as upsetting nationally ranked teams. Tech Volleyball missed playoffs by two matches, but were in the playoff hunt with only two weeks left in the 2018 season.

In 2017 Coach Clifton lead Oregon Tech to a 10-15 overall record and a Cascade Conference record of 8-12. The Owls upset nationally ranked Eastern Oregon in 2017 and ended one spot out of playoffs for the 2ned year in a row.
 
In 2016 Andrew lead the Owls to an overall record of 12-14 and a conference record of 8-12, missing the CCC playoffs by one match.

As well as coaching at Oregon Tech, Andrew has also made his mark on the Klamath Falls Volleyball community, by holding clinics and lessons in town. He is also the Lead Coach and President of Basin Bombers Volleyball Club. He is currently on his third year coaching at BBVBC and is planning to coach the top 14’s team again in 2019. Since Coach Clifton has entered the club the community and the club has seen major growth and improvement in the sport.
 
Before coaching at Oregon Tech, Clifton spent the two seasons at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Ore. Prior to being hired at Mt. Hood Community College, Clifton was the assistant women’s volleyball coach at the University of Portland (NCAA Division I) for the 2013 season in the competitive West Coast Conference. During his time at UP he was involved in the offense and defense, as well as scouting, video, individual training and recruiting.

Before heading to University of Portland, Coach Clifton was the first assistant coach for California State University, Monterey Bay (NCAA Division II). As the top assistant coach at CSUMB he was the setting coach and offensive coordinator. Andrew helped the Otters to tie their all-time home wins record in 2012, while also breaking the single season record for hitting percentage at the school. Coach Clifton served as the academic coordinator for the volleyball program, where the team ranked first in total team GPA in the entire athletic department. As well as academic coordinator he was also the recruiting coordinator and summer camp coordinator.

Prior to coaching at CSUMB Andrew was the owner and director of Roots Volleyball Club (RVC) and assistant director of High Line Boys Volleyball Club (HLVC) in Southern California. At RVC, Coach Clifton helped send a number of athletes to play in college as well as coached the 16’s and 17’s team to top 15 finishes at The Volleyball Festival in Phoenix. As the assistant director of HLVC, Andrew led the 15’s team to a bronze medal and the 17’s team to a silver medal at junior nationals. While in Southern California Andrew was also the assistant coach for Hope International University and Long Beach City College. He also was a coach for the widely known Gold Medal Squared Volleyball Camps System.
